Hi Sydney, please tell us a little about you?
I am a singer/songwriter & actress from Michigan. I have always loved music and the performing arts.
What is your musical background?
I have been singing since I could speak. I’ve always loved music, my family was always playing music around the house when I was younger. I started writing songs in elementary school, and I started taking piano lessons. I was also in choir in school which was one of my favorite classes.
How would you describe your music?
My music is definitely Pop with a lot of different influences. I love R&B music and Rock so I try to incorporate both into my sound.
How did you get started?
I was posting a lot of youtube covers and eventually I made the move out to LA to pursue my music and acting, but overall I did a lot of talent shows in school and performances at different places which helped get me started.
What is your next goal as a musician?
My next goal is to hopefully start working on an EP! I’m also hoping to perform as much as I can.
Tell us about your recent track “Soldier”?
Soldier is a song I wrote about two years ago. It’s basically about my struggle of coming out to LA. I hope that it inspires my fans to know that what ever hard time they are going through they are a soldier and they can get through anything.
Which artists would you like to collaborate with?
I would love to collaborate with Ryan Tedder or Justin Bieber.
3 things you can’t leave your house without?
I can’t leave my house without a water bottle, a jacket because I get cold really fast, and my thesaurus because I like to write wherever I am
What music we can find in your iPod?
I listen to a lot of Pop, you’d find a lot of Whitney Houston, Carrie Underwood, Demi Lovato, JB
Your favorite song? Why?
This question is so hard, but one of my all time favorite songs is Story of Us by Taylor Swift, I have a lot of favorites but this was the first that popped in my head
Any loves, other then music?
Acting is another passion of mine, I love to do family comedy.
What do you do in your free time?
In my free time I’m usually singing, writing, shopping, or hanging out with my friends we love to go to the roller rink or bowling
What do you like to watch on tv?
I honestly love watching any Disney Channel series, also Modern Family and the originals
Best advice ever given?
Best advice someone has ever given me is to keep my eyes open and not to trust everyone
Five years from now you will be…?
Hopefully five years from now I will have completed my own Disney channel or Nickelodeon tv series, have some full albums under my belt, and a grammy or two 😀
Any news you want to share with us?
Yes I am working on a lyric video for Soldier its going to be super cool because its a twist on a lyric video so I think people will really want to see it.
What do you think of Social Media?
I think Social media is a great outlet for Artists to connect with their fans and for people to feel connected around the globe, however I think it should be used as a resource but people shouldn’t take it too seriously
