Whenever Andre Soriano is around, it is anything but ordinary.
Last night, on L.A. Live’s Event Deck, Soriano showcased his glamorous designs in an unorthodox way. With a theme of Oscar winning ball gowns, the show started with a short film. A model appeared wearing a gold floor-length gown that had a low-V cut in the front. In the film, she successfully seduced and intrigued all of us waiting for Soriano’s show to start.
Once the show began, the music blared from the speakers with clips from past Oscar winning announcements. The announcements included Sandra Bullock, Meryl Streep, and many more famous actresses. These luxurious gowns were made with the intent of standing out—and they did.
Soriano uses many elaborate fabrics to create these designs. His designs were anything but boring on the runway. His gowns were graceful and chic with a bit of edge, making them all-around fierce couture gowns.
His standout piece was definitely his last dress. With a dramatic ending, this black dress was huge with many fabrics intertwined to create this masterpiece. This gown received a standing ovation from many in the audience, and left us all astounded.
Andre Soriano shocked and awed us at L.A. Live, and in the future we look forward to seeing what he’s coming up with next.
