Interview from new Disney series “Raven’s Home” talented actress Anneliese Van der Pol.

This series is a spin-off of the original Disney mega-hit and Emmy-winning show, “That’s So Raven.” Chelsea and Raven are now divorced single mothers raising their two separate families in one chaotic, but fun household full of friends.

On the big screen, Anneliese has appeared as Avery in “Bratz!” from Lionsgate, starred in “Divorce:  The Musical” and as Jennifer, in the 20th CENTURY FOX/NEW REGENCY spoof comedy “Vampires Suck.”

Best Part: Craft Service (Oh and playing pretend, and getting to tell a story and all that artsie fartsie stuff) ;!

Do something everyday towards your goal. Even if it is an actor taking themself to a movie, or getting a haircut. Even if it is small. Constantly be in class. NO MATTER WHAT!!! Oh and be nice people. Just be nice.

Tell us about Disney’s series “Raven’s Home.” And our character Chelsea Daniels?

Raven’s Home is about two single mothers coming together to raise their children because of Financial difficulties. It is hilarious per usual as well is my character as per usual. Chelsea still doesn’t know what’s up sometimes. 😉

I would say everything with Raven. Like everything. Gossiping in the make-up room, Having lunch, working on set. Great question… almost too difficult to answer! Always changing for me, but always a woman of course, as those female roles are the ones I most identify with. Always changing too. I am really admiring Laurie Metcalf’s work right now. Her work in “A Dolls House” really was magical. And of course Viola Davis is an absolute work of art on screen. Nicole Kidman always.

I am involved with Amnesty International as it is deeply close to my heart. But find it starts with your community and simply feeding the homeless can go a long way. Especially in Los Angeles. If you can always support Hearts for the Arts… and of course the Red Cross!!!!!
