Aveda creates a “country girl meets urbanite” look for the Tibi Fall / Winter 2014 presentation at New York Fashion week – Get the look!
TIBI Fall/Winter Collection
Antoinette Beenders (Aveda Global Creative Director) created a look for his collection that exemplifies an urban refined beauty who still retains her country-girl roots at heart.
The hair is tousled with new Aveda Dry Remedy Daily Moisturizing Oil to rejuvenate the hair and add extra moisture and shine.
Want to achieve this a-little-bit-country-a-little-rock-n-roll hairstyle? This casual look can be done at home with our very own DIY (Do-It-Yourself) instructions:
Step 1: Use Pure Abundance Style Prep and spray all over hair- don’t be stingy! This will texturize your hair and give it that bouncy volume.
Step 2: Starting at the top of your hairline, take a section no wider than an inchand create a tight braid. Once you reach the crown of your head, stop braiding and use an elastic band that matches your hair color so that it blends in.
Step 3: Now, take a section of hair above your left ear and braid all the way to the ends of your hair. Do the same on the right side. When you are done, connect both raids underneath your hair near your neck.
Step 4: Then, with the rest of your hair in the back, create 3 loose braids and clamp down a flat iron on them. Undo the braids carefully, tousle and run Dry Remedy Moisturizing Oil through hair. This will create those beachy waves with a bit of shine.
Step 5: Now spray Control Force Hair Spray all over for a loose but firm hold, and you’re done! Voila!

Aveda has been working on their makeup by re-creating natural tones to give an exotic and effortless look.
The Aveda Inner Light Concealer gives a hydrated look with a matte texture. Once set with the Aveda Inner Light Dual Foundation, the result is a soft, beautiful complexion.
The makeup is simple so that it doesn’t overpower the clothes for Novis. Novis has very geometric patterns that are structured, and the matte makeup look gives the perfect desired effect.
