Bellator MMA weigh-ins were completed yesterday from Mohegan Sun Arena for today’s showcase featuring Season 10 Light Heavyweight Semifinals and Bellator Featherweight opening rounds. The fights kick off at 6:30 p.m. EST and will be streaming live on The televised portion of the night will begin at 9:00 p.m. EST and will air live on Spike TV. On the main card, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will square off with Christian M’Pumbu (pictured) and King Mo Lawal is going up against Mikhail Zayats in the Light Heavyweight Semifinals.


Today’s tournament will be the first featuring the next generation of MMA gloves designed in collaboration by Everlast Worldwide Inc. and Bellator MMA. Everlast product designers worked closely with Bellator athletes to create the new PowerLock MMA Fight glove, which promotes proper hand technique and form. A curved striking surface, redesigned foam for hand protection, and additional interior padding should lead to significant fighter protection and less injuries overall. PowerLock gloves have been tested in full sparring and have received overwhelmingly positive reviews.


Bellator MMA has announced a new multi-year relationship with Monster Energy, making it the tournament’s “Official Energy Drink Partner.” This new partnership will be highly visible in advertising and by the energy drink company’s extension of their Monster Girl program with a marquee position sponsoring the Bellator Girls. The energy drink brand has also extended it’s athletic roster to sponsorship of MMA icon Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as he competes in the light heavyweight bout.
