Walter Mendez blew us away last night with his collection at L.A. Live in Los Angeles for Style Fashion Week LA. At 9 p.m. last night, the Walter Collection was displayed for all Style Fashion Week attendees to see and take note of.

Mendez made a new trademark last night with his beautiful use of nude colors. The nude colors made his red, gold, and blue gowns stand out even more vibrantly in the collection. This factor made the nude parts blend in with the skin of the models, so that the gowns looked sexy but classy.

To add a bit of excitement to his collection, he embellished the gowns with bedazzling jewels. These gorgeous jewels added a luxurious element for his designs. His gowns were mostly floor length with a few short, flirty dresses mixed in.

His color palette for the collection include gold, deep red, royal blue, black, and nude. These evening gowns were tight fitting towards the chest and waist area to create a very flattering silhouette. Walter Mendez was able to use the texture of these dresses to create a flow-like element to some of his creations.

Mendez has done LA Fashion week for the last two years and is quite known in the fashion world. He has been featured in Women’s Wear Daily and has been awarded Designer of the Year by World Networks. With such fresh, young talent, it is clear that we’ll be seeing a lot more of Walter.
