With a recent cadre of success at radio, Kanisha K will debut her newest single “Oh Damn Yeah” to Top 40 radio this March. The song was written and produced by uber Producer Joe Vulpis (Lady Gaga, Lindsay Lohan, Richie Blackmore, Jennifer Love Hewitt etc.) and mastered by Tom Coyne (Adele, Beyonce, Sam Smith, Taylor Swift, Pink, Ariana Grande.)  Kanisha recorded both “Oh Damn Yeah” and “Never Stopped Loving You” at Vulpis’ studios in Nashville.

Reflecting on the new songs Kanisha stated: “Working with Joe Vulpis and bringing his songs to life through the recording process was an enormous honor for me. I really fell in love with “Oh Damn Yeah” and “Never Stopped Loving You” and worked hard to preserve the integrity of both the music and the lyrics. I think we have some hits here.”

Adds Vulpis: “A song is just a song until an artist like Kanisha comes along and sings the crap out of it. I have tremendous faith that Kanisha will bring it home with this single and I look forward to working with her in the future.”

Kanisha will be supporting the release of “Oh Damn Yeah” with two live shows this March. The first will be held in Holland, MI at The Park Theatre on March 13th and is a fundraiser to “Save The Park.”  The second performance will be a Kanisha K release party to be held at The BOB in Grand Rapids Michigan on March 27th. Proceeds from the show will be donated to HSUS, a charity that Kanisha K supports and Michigan native Karisa Wilson will be opening for Kanisha K on that date.

2014 was a banner year for Kanisha, her single “Bring Me Home” garnered strong airplay support, translating into chart success on the FMQB AC chart (peaked at #3,) Mediabase AC Chart (debuted at #29) and the Billboard AC Indicator chart where the song peaked at #22.  The song spent over 30 weeks on the FMQB charts and and a remix version of the song will soon be delivered to radio.
