Hi Marko, please tell us a little about yourself?

I was born in Croatia and moved to the states when I was 2 years old. I grew up in Massachusetts with my family where playing tennis led me to a full scholarship and a Sports Marketing degree at Clemson University. I moved to Miami area and tried the pro tour but after 2 wrist surgeries I had to retire and figure out the next steps. I was fascinated by the Miami nightlife vibe and models were always appealing to me lol. My friends got me into modeling where I was signed by Wilhelmina. I was barely making enough money to cover rent so I was bartending and catering to cover my living room couch. I got introduced to promoting and from there I learned the ropes of nightlife. I’ve worked with all of the best in the business along with meeting some amazing people , and witnessing the best parties around the world.

What’s your background?

I was born in Croatia and my whole family is Croatian

How did you get in the industry?

I was modeling at the time with barely money to pay rent so I was giving any job a go. Since I knew a lot of girls and loved going out I started promoting. I soon met my partner Michael Malone and we were throwing about 8-9 parties a week including dinners, clubs, pool parties, and hotels.

Tell us a little about WALL and your role in the company?

Wall to me is the most exclusive lounge that is considered a club, in one of the best Hotel brands the W. I worked with KNR from my beginning promoting days and always had a great relationship with them. When we were running SL, KNR approached us again to come back with the company and build the relationship into partners and grow together. After a few years of working closely together they gave me the partnership with Wall, Living Room, and Wet. We are into our 8th year and we have a very strong team. The hotel does great and always has the best clientele. I also get to learn so much more now being a partner from the industry leaders in hospitality.

Where did you work before Wall?

I have worked at almost every club down here over the past 10 years. But previously I was a managing partner at SL.

Why WALL is different from other venues?

Wall is different because it brings a the high end clientele consistently end beautiful women everywhere. It also helps that we are inside the W hotel and have our other outlets to bring business into the club. There is high energy but u also get that exclusive feel.

What would say are the greatest lessons you learned so far?

The greatest lesson I have learned so far is how to treat your clients and take care of your friends and turn them into long lasting relationships. Everyone says it’s not what you know it’s who you know. We get to mingle with some amazing people every single night.

Are there busy and quiet periods during the year?

Yes we call “season” when Halloween starts until about May. Then the jetsetters travel to Cannes, Ibiza, Monaco, St Tropez and the models go to other markets. But overall Miami is getting busier and busier.

What’s your favorite quote?

Anything is possible , the world is limitless !

If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?

Would love to meet Tony Robbins because of the strength and power of his presence and influence. After a Tony Youtube session I’m ready to maximize myself.

Who has made the biggest impact on your life so far, and why?

My family has made the biggest impact in my life today. They sacrificed a lot for me to pursue my tennis career and made me a priority. They always put my sister and I in front of them and would give anything for us to allow us succeed and grow.

Name one your strengths?

Ethics, I always make rational decisions on life principals that were taught to me by my parents and role models.

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 year?

I see myself helping grow KNR into other venues and properties. I also have a few other businesses that are growing as well, Model Volleyball, and a Headphone company called Muzik. I’m a partner in both of the companies and they are constantly on the way up. I’ve also been learning a bit of finance and investing. I consider myself a successful entrepreneur but I’m constantly on the look out to grow opportunities and helping connect people to make an impact.

What was the last book you read?

I’m currently reading Tony Robbins “ Unshakeable” but the last book I read was Secrets of the Millionaire Mind.

How’s a typical day in your life?

Half the week I wake up at 8 am and do a little mediation and get my mind right for the day and then I head to Anatomy gym for hour and a half workout and spa session. Then I go to the office and work from there and bounce around for meetings. I normally get home around 6 and continue working on some things and possibly do another workout. I work 4 nights a week so I’m always doing dinner around 10:30 with friends and clients and then head to the W or to Wall right after. I get home around 4 am and try to get in 6-7 hours of sleep and then repeat.

How do you spend your spare time?

When I want to relax I go to the beach or the gym is my place to get my mind right and work on my physical self. I have been reading a lot more as well. I enjoy spending time with close friends.

What would be the dream holiday, and who would you go with?

I have never been to Hawaii so that is always a place I want to go. But my top vacation is always going to Croatia to be with my family on our island house on Zlarin.

Do you have a role model?

I have a few role models. Tony Robbins has become my favorite. I look up to my partners at KNR , along with our CEO founder of Muzik, Jason Hardi, and Jack Brewer who is a retired NFL player turned into entrepreneur, philanthropist.

What’s your own definition of happiness?

Happiness for me is a state mind where I am in total control of myself and I get to better the world for myself and others.
