Describe yourself in 1 word?

Silly

How did you get started in the industry?

I grew up around music as my dad is in the music industry so I loved performing from an early age. I was able to go to drama school and I’m just blessed to be doing what I love.

What is the best and worst part of being an actor?

That’s hard! There are so many things I love about being an actor: meeting new people, trying out new ideas and being creative. But the best part about being an actor is that with every job you learn new things. Each role opens you up to a new world. Your story can be set in a certain time period that you may not have been familiar with. Your character may require a skill or physicality which is new to you. I just love researching whatever it may be and discovering new things. The worst part is when it finishes.

Best advice ever given?

Be yourself!

How was the casting for Nickelodeon show “Ride”?

Firstly, on the way to the casting I got stopped by the police as I was in a school uniform and they were asking why I wasn’t at school. Great start! I remember being nervous. I got to the audition and saw all the other actors going for the part too. But when we got called in, it was just so much fun. I had three callbacks and a chemistry read with the other “potential” cast members. We just played and tried out so many different things. We even tried Anya with a different accent.

What “Ride” is about?

Ride is set in an equestrian boarding school where the new stable master and his daughter have just moved in. It’s a show about friendship, growing up and school life. With horses, cute boys and loads of mysteries.

Tell us a little about your character?

Anya is very positive, optimistic and caring. She’s a very determined young lady who can be a little naive sometimes. She is Kit’s best friend with a secret. She is a princess but doesn’t want the other students to know as she just wants to “fit in.” So she tries to be independent and do everything herself which leads to hilarious outcomes as she’s just not as experienced with “regular” life stuff as the other students. It’s funny because whilst shooting for “Ride,” it was the first time I lived by myself away from my family and sometimes I felt like Anya myself in reality, trying to be a grown up. But I love that she doesn’t give up and keeps trying. There are many tricky situations she faces but her determination is something I really admire and have learnt that no matter how many times you fall just keep going!

What has been your most memorable experience on the set?

Everything! The horses, the set and the whole team. But I remember once when there was a power outage on set and it felt like a day off from school. We played pranks on each other and laughed until we resumed shooting.

I love stalking people and seeing what everyone is up to on social media. Lol. It’s great for actors as we get to interact and talk directly to our fans. The love and support has been so great for “Ride” and I love sharing things with everyone and connecting with others.
