Hi Robb, please tell us a little about you?

I am originally from New York City and I started my showbiz career in stand up comedy. I am also an avid sports fan!

Describe yourself in 3 words?

Playful, philosophical and spiritual.

So how did it all begin?

At 3 years old, I was watching someone entertain on TV and said: “I want to do that”. Twenty-four years later, I finally took my first step!

What inspired you to become an actor?

I don’t think I was inspired; it was just inside me. It was very organic and natural.

What is the best part of acting?

The best part of acting is creating, as well as understanding and interpreting human behaviour.

What roles do you like to play? Why?

I like to play vulnerable characters; they tend to be the most human and interesting.

Who is your favorite actor/actress?

My favorite actor is Robert De Niro, and my favorite actress is Meryl Streep.

What is the best advice you were ever given?

Don’t take anything personally!

Tell us about the film “Hands Of Stone”. What was it like working with big acting names like Robert DeNiro?

“Hands of Stone” is a biopic about legendary boxer Roberto Duran. His story is one of tremendous spirit and determination. Robert De Niro has always been my favorite actor, so to have the opportunity to work with him was marvelous. To see his dedication and hard work made me understand how he has stayed on top for 45 years.

How did you get the role?

I fought hard to get in to read for the role. Then I was put on tape and selected by the brilliantly talented director, Jonathan Jakubowicz.

You’ve worked with many amazing actors over your career. How was working with top actors like Tom Hanks, Jennifer Anniston, Ben Stiller, Alec Baldwin and Philip Seymour Hoffman?

When you work with major stars, it’s no different than working with complete unknowns. Everyone still has to do their jobs professionally.

What is your next project?

I have several scripts that I am personally writing and developing. There is also an untitled movie role that I am being considered for right now.

Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

In the next five years I see myself writing, acting and directing.

What kind of music do you listen normally?

I love classic rock.

Do you support any charities?

The Epilepsy Foundation and all cancer research charities. I am also very much in support of stopping, and prosecuting, elephant tusk poachers.

What is your idea of a perfect Sunday?

Spending the morning with my wife, eating breakfast in bed. Then eventually getting up and going to see some live event or just taking a walk in the park.
