Handsome, charming, controversial and engaging, Sebastien Lagree is a fascinating subject to interview. He has appeared numerous times on national television and has been profiled in the most prestigious magazines and newspapers in the country.
Since he opened his first studio in December 2001, Lagree’s highly stylized and original program expanded worldwide. Today, there are more than 300 fitness studios in cities ranging from Mexico City to Dubai and across the United States.
Sebastien is about to open his highly anticipated new Lagree Fitness Center in Beverly Hills in January 2016 which will be owned and operated by Danielle Lagree, who is Sebastien’s wife, business partner, and soul mate. “Sebastien’s revolutionary 25-minute workout is low impact, making it perfect for everyone,” says Danielle.

How and when did you start into the fitness business?
When I moved to LA, looking for work and at the age of 25.

To change people’s life every day.

What is the key to your success?
To never give up.
Best advice you have followed?
From my dad who told me that when you go 200 MPH and an Obstacle comes in your way, don’t slow down, but speed up and go through the obstacle.
Do you have kids? If so, what is the best advice you have for them?
I have a son and a daughter. My best advice to them is to follow your passion whatever it may be.
What is your favorite healthy food?
I love Sushi.

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
What were the most unexpected challenges of opening your Lagree Fitness Center?
None so far.
Now tell us of your new addition in Beverly Hills?
The studio features the new Supraformer. A new concept in fitness technology. Our studio will be the only location to use that equipment.
And about your revolutionary Supraformer machine?
This machine is unique; it inclines, declines, tilts. It stimulates your body in ways that were not previously possible.

What’s next for you and your business?
Keep on improving the equipment and the workout.
What’s your typical workout routine?
When time permits, I like to hike and train on all the prototype I have at my facility.
What one thing do you never skip in your workout?
I love the Wheelbarrow on either of my equipment. It strengthens your core.
What’s the best way for someone to motivate herself to get fit?
What motivates us is different for everyone; helping to find one’s motivation is the grail in fitness and I would like to make a documentary on what motivates us. I find that topic fascinating.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love shark diving and racing Lambos.
