Hi Khloe, please tell us a little about you?
I grew up in Spokane, Washington and moved to Las Vegas a month after turning 21. I graduated from Eastern Washington University. I chose to move to Vegas because I saw opportunity and excitement. My high school was in a wheat field so moving to a big city like Las Vegas was a huge lifestyle change for me in the best way.
We would love to know more about your career journey. How did you get your start into Real Estate?
I grew up around real estate because my grandpa owned a real estate brokerage in Spokane, Washington, my dad was a Realtor, my parents invested in real estate properties; and my brother is a real estate photographer. It has always been in my family. I graduated college with a degree in Marketing and finance, but I always knew I wanted to go into real estate because I saw great opportunities and I thought I would go crazy working a 9-5 desk job.
Now that the Las Vegas Raiders are in town and soon a Baseball team will be there too, do you think the market and the real estate inventory will increase in Las Vegas?
I think that Vegas will continue to grow. It has become a sports town. Since 2017, Vegas has gained NHL, NFL, WNBA, Formula One and now an MLB team. Vegas locals are passionate fans and I think we will continue to see the city grow and expand as more professional sports move to Vegas.
Any advice to entrepreneurs or real estate agents that want to follow your steps out there?
I recommend finding someone that you look up to and that is in a position you would like to be in for your career someday. Ask them to mentor you; the worst they can say is no. I am so fortunate to be learning from Cami Lincowski, a top realtor in Las Vegas.
For you, how is it different from the real estate market in Vegas to the one in Los Angeles or in the US?
The real estate market in Las Vegas is much more affordable than the real estate market in Los Angeles. You get more bang for your buck here.
What book should every entrepreneur read?
How to Win Friends and Influence People, by Dale Carnegie. It teaches the importance of listening more and talking less, as well as how to build genuine connections with people.
What is the key to your success?
Have a positive mindset and know that there is always more to learn. Don’t get down on yourself for not being where you want to be in your career yet. Knowing that everything works out the way it’s meant to.
How do you manage a very busy work life while still having time for your personal life?
I think it’s important to wake up early and get your day started. I am more productive in the morning. Luckily, real estate is all about networking so my personal life and work life can coincide. I always have business cards with me, whether I’m going to the gym, running errands, or going out with friends. You never know when or where you could meet potential clients. I can network while I am also living my personal life.
Define Vegas in 3 words?
Exciting, Growing, Limitless.
What is fun and rewarding about what you do? And what’s not?
It has been fun to meet other like minded people and to see the potential this city has. It has also been fun to see all the different types of homes and neighborhoods of Las Vegas. There is so much more to this city than just the strip.
Can you name a few of your celebrity clients?
My Mentor, Cami Lincowski, has worked with a significant number of Las Vegas Raiders players. I have been able to go with her to showings and learn the ins and outs of working with high-profile clients. As you know, we can’t disclose any names.
