Devin Cecchetto’s Vibrant Rebirth: ‘Off My Mind’ Unfolds in a Laundromat of Renewal
In the vibrant and imaginative new music video for “Off My Mind,” Devin Cecchetto takes the metaphor of renewal to a whole new level. Set against the unconventional yet spirited backdrop of a laundromat, the video brings to life the concept of washing away the past and starting anew. As Devin moves rhythmically among the whirring machines, her performance is imbued with a sense of liberation and rejuvenation. Dressed in stylish sweats and lost in the music through her headphones, she becomes the embodiment of moving forward with style and determination. The pink hues that dominate the scene further amplify the theme of transformation, making “Off My Mind” a visual feast that complements its lyrical message of change and resilience.
Beyond her music, Devin Cecchetto is carving out a significant presence in the film and TV industry, leading in Lifetime thrillers and appearing in notable projects like “The Craft Legacy,” “Ginny and Georgia” on Netflix, “Marry F*** Kill,” “Bad Influence” on Crave, and “The Parker Andersons” on Heart and Home. With her recent ventures into songwriting and recording music in Los Angeles, Devin is on an exciting journey of creative exploration and self-expression, promising her audience an even richer tapestry of artistic endeavors.

Hi Devin, please tell us a little about yourself.
I am a singer and actor born and raised in Toronto and go back and forth from LA. I have been singing since I was very little. I later studied opera and have a degree in musical theater. Right after school, I started booking roles in film and television, but I always really missed the music side of my life, which brings me to now creating my own music! It’s another outlet to share, I think songs can be very healing for both the creator and the listeners. I hope to spread love and light on all avenues of creation 🙂
Who influenced you?
The one and only Barbra Streisand!
Do you play any instruments?
Yes! Piano and guitar.
Do you ever get nervous?
Hell yesss!!! That’s the best part: your nerves tell you that you care and that it is important. like to think of nerves as fuel to transform into excitement. If I am not nervous, I get worried 🤣
Tell us about your new single, “Off My Mind.”
I have been sitting on quite a few singles that I made down in LA but none of them felt right to release. The moment I made “Off My Mind,” there was something catchy about the chorus that just felt right. Over the last 6 months, I have been going through a process of letting go of old habits and thoughts that were no longer serving me. I think “Off My Mind” is a perfect song for releasing and moving into the new. It’s great for the spring.
Can you walk us through your creative process for this single? How did the idea come to life?
I love to walk into a session with nothing really planned and just see where I am at that day. I love to sit with the producer as he creates the beats, listen to the sound and see how it makes me feel … from there lyrics and melodies come.
Were there any specific experiences or emotions that fueled the writing and composition of this song?
I was just ready to move past something that dragged on for so long. The universe kept hitting me across the face with hints that everything had started to crumble. After the aftermath, I felt really bad, but also everything happens for a reason. Mistakes are not life sentences; they are lessons. This is about fully embracing myself, as we all should. There are times to sit and reflect, and there are times to just LET GO and say “OFF MY MIND” on to the next !
What is the best and worst part of being an actor?
Booking the role and finally getting to be on set is every actor’s biggest dream !!! I also don’t mind auditioning. The worst is when you get so close to booking, after you have gone through callback and chemistry read and fall in love with a character and you don’t get it …. It truly is heartbreaking.
How do you prepare for a role?
It takes me a while, when it comes to auditioning, I like to look up who is directing/ producing the project and look at their latest works to get an idea of their style and what they might be envisioning. After that, I play around with other actor friends going over the lines and re-working the sides until I feel like the character sits in the pocket. When it comes to preparing a role you have gotten, that’s a whole other process. It is different and unique based on the project !
Tell us about your work in Netflix’s “The Craft Legacy,” and “Ginny and Georgia?”
These were the first two projects I ever booked. The biggest sets. I was absolutely terrified but excited. It was these projects that helped me prove to myself that I can actually do this for a living and helped me learn so much, I love being on set.
What other projects have you been part of?
I have played a young teen in a TV series for Heart and Home called The Parker Anderson. I starred in a movie called Bad Influence, where Jennie Garth from 90210 played my character’s mom. You can find that on crave or tubi. I have also been a lead in two lifetime thrillers called ‘Danger rocks and cradle’ and ‘Who killed our father’. And my most recent work “Marry F*** KIll” is on crave or tubi and I would say I had the most fun on set with the cast for that movie.
What kind of roles do you like or would like to play, and why?
Gosh, anything but my biggest dream is to be a superhero one day! Sooo down to do fun stunts
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
Everything ! Being able to create something from nothing is an extraordinary experience, and I feel privileged to be able to do it and hopefully continue to do it the rest of my life, whether it’s writing songs, writing scripts, or creating characters for the next role.
What advice would you give to aspiring actors who look up to you and want to follow in your footsteps?
If you truly can’t see yourself doing anything else, then being an actor is for you.
What advice would you give to your younger self, and why?
Chill out… it all happens in time! Just have fun. Life is yours to co-create so keep being full of magic and mischief.
What is your favorite healthy food?
… drink ? I love Matcha !!! Or a nice GREEN smoothie
How would you explain your fashion style?
Extra AS FOOK !!! I love to get dressed up !!! Sometimes dressing up classy but also I love playing around with thrifted stuff and crazy fun colorful/ staple pieces. I am NOT afraid to mess around and get funky
What is your own definition of happiness?
There was a point in my life where, to the outside, anyone looking in would think I had everything but I think at that time I was at my worst mentally… I think happiness comes in the little things, like your morning coffee, watching the sunrise, squishing your pet. There is so much beauty in slowing down and smelling the roses.
Where do you see yourself and your career in 5 years?
I love making music and perform but I also Loveeeee acting .. I hope to continue to do both! Booking a big role on a Netflix series is THE DREAM, I also would totally go back to my root of broadways but in the meantime continue to make fun songs that bring people joy and love !!
What is your favorite song to belt out in the car or for karaoke?
KISS MY PRINCE !!
What do you think of social media?
I love it, I have always seen it was a creative outlet, almost like a vision board where you get to co-create your 3D reality… and although it’s not real it lives in this 5D place … I see Social media as an art form in itself. I love to watch others create their reality’s and share them. It’s always been a fun outlet for me !
