Check our exclusive interview with gorgeous talented actress and singer Luna Blaise. The 15 year old Latina’s most recent project is starring as sassy ‘Nicole’ on the ABC hit show, “Fresh Off The Boat” (currently airing Season 3).

This beautiful young actress first came into the on-screen spotlight when she was cast as Nina in the Indie film, “Memoria” in 2013, produced by James Franco. The film was based on the Palo Alto short stories, also by James Franco, and premiered at the 2015 Austin Film Festival November 1st.

On the musical side Luna’s debut single “Over You” was just released last month.

Why and how did you get started in acting?

It came very natural to me when I was younger and as a child I was always performing and coming up with story ideas for dramatic play. I always wanted to live in the TV or on the Movie Screen.

What was your first acting role?

My first acting role was a short film. It was very dramatic and I had to cry. I was 5

Now tell us about ABC’s hit show “Fresh Off The Boat” and about your character Nicole?

“Fresh Off The Boat” is so special to me for so many reasons. The writing is exceptional and funny. The cast and crew are the coolest ever. We are one great big family. I love playing my character Nicole. She is so different than I am and I really love bringing her to life for television. I love the fact that the show takes place in the 90’s and music is a big part of the show as well. It was the era of rap artists like Biggie Smalls and Tupac Shakur I have really become a huge fan of hip hop music because of the show,

What is your musical background?

I come from a very musical family. I didn’t grow up watching TV instead my family and I listened to and played music all the time. I remember when I was little our dining room was turned into a rehearsal rehearsal space for about five years, complete with drum kit, guitars, amps and mics. My parents through music speakeasies on the weekends where all their musician friends would come over and just jam. My mom sings, my dad is a film maker and got his start in music videos back in the 90’s he also plays guitar, and my big brother is self-taught in piano, bass, guitar and trumpet. Music has always played a major role in my life.

Do you have any music influence?

I have so many influences but if I had to choose my top three I would say definitely The Beatles, Beyonce and Kehlani

What is your next goal as a musician?

I want to get better at playing the piano and guitar. I want to get into the studio, work and write on new material with producers. My plan is to write as many songs as I possibly can and take my time to really develop my sound. Eventually drop an EP and then an Album. In the meantime I will perform live with any opportunity I am presented with.

Tell us about your hit single “Over You”?

“Over You” is the second song I ever wrote. It literally came to me one afternoon when I was in studio with the producers. I really enjoy the process of writing songs I just love it.

I haven’t released an album yet.

I write all my songs.

What do you like to do when have some free time?

I like to get cozy in my bed watch movies and sleep.

How’s a normal day in your life?

My life is normal to me. I don’t have anything to compare it to because it’s always been like this ever since I can remember.
